Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation
The Taggart Parkes Foundation has partnered with the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation for more than a decade. During that time, more than $175,000 has been donated by the Taggart Parkes Foundation to fund various initiatives and improvements taking place at the Queensway Carleton Hospital (QCH). In 2018, our partnership with the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation allowed the Hospital to invest in two important means to creating a positive and inspiring atmosphere for patients requiring their services.
The Taggart Parkes Foundation Multi-purpose Room/Dining Lounge in the Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) Unit at QCH is a sunny, spacious dining and activity room that invites ACE patients to be up, out of bed, mobile, active and social. These activities are a critical part of helping them heal and maintain the level of function they need to return home.
The Taggart Parkes Foundation also sponsored Hope Blooms at the Farm, an event which raised over $520,000 towards the Hopes Rising Campaign for Mental Health at QCH. “Your support will help us deliver the right mental health care, at the right time, by the right people, in a setting that inspires hope” says Nancy, a spokesperson for QCH.
