Building the New Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus
The Taggart Parkes family has made an incredible contribution to the future of The Ottawa Hospital by means of a $10M donation.
These funds are part of a larger fundraising effort by The Ottawa Hospital Foundation to build a new, state of the art Civic campus.
When asked about the donation made through the Taggart Parkes Foundation, chairman of the Taggart Group of Companies, Jim Taggart, said, “We’ve been in Ottawa a long time and Ottawa has been good to us. The new hospital is something that will be good for the city: It will offer better health care and should create some construction activity across Ottawa as well.”
Julie Taggart, President of Taggart Realty Management, added, “We think the hospital is a really important part of the community. We believe in the hospital and the Foundation, and that’s why we’re doing this. We know it’s going to be a state-of-the-art facility.”
The proposed new Civic campus will offer innovative treatments and foster forward-thinking research that will make a difference in the lives of people living in Ottawa and the surrounding communities.
